Remember that teak that we were finishing off last week? Well take a look at it now!

The two sections are totally independent of each other and can be removed, yet they look completely seamless!

WOW! That looks incredible. Teak is chic!

  • AlexU says:

What awesome craftsmanship! Even puts the 3D rendering to shame

    • Kara Wilson says:

Even though I like to think that our renderings are a valuable tool to the client (and I want them to look exactly alike) I do agree. There is nothing like the real thing here… the teak is coming out absolutely stunning. Thanks!

That wood really compliments the brown accent in the white tiles, I’m diggin’ this. What exactly is Teak?

    • Kara Wilson says:

Teak is a species of wood. It’s a hardwood, and stands up really well to water and harsh weather, and it is often used in outdoor furniture. When you see those beautiful slatted wood chairs by the pool- those are usually teak. You also see it a lot in marine applications (thus the marine treatment we used on it here) due to it’s high quality.

These properties made it an excellent choice to use in a bathroom. Most other woods don’t stand a chance long-term.

  • Dan DelMain says:

that is absolutely lovely. Our recent bathroom addition didn’t allow for a big enough shower, which means no teak…always wanted one though

    • Kara Wilson says:

Some day, I hope to have a large enough bathroom to do fun detailing like this too.
