The Projects

Gold – Residential Basement

The basement underwent a comprehensive transformation, blending a mudroom and playroom with a sleek maple plank wall. Drawing from mid-century modern and Scandinavian influences, we curated a design that maximized natural light and emphasized natural materials. To address ceiling height discrepancies, we created a uniform ceiling plane, enhancing visual continuity.

Wooden slats elegantly divide the spaces, preserving an open feel. We installed oak stair treads and maple accents for cohesion, while custom maple floating shelves add functionality. With meticulous attention to detail, we crafted a modern playroom setup and a versatile mudroom bench, realizing the clients’ vision for a stylish and functional home.

Gold – Residential Historical Renovation Restoration

We revitalized a 7,500-square-foot Classical Revival home in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, blending modern aesthetics with historical details. Guided by stylistic precedent, our goal was to retain the home’s character while introducing contemporary elements. The residence boasted grand architectural features like 14-foot-high ceilings and a ballroom.

Our clients desired a fusion of traditional and contemporary styles. We meticulously restored original features like mahogany-paneled walls and built-in bookshelves while modernizing spaces like the kitchen. Exterior renovations complied with historical society requirements. The outcome: a seamless marriage of old and new, preserving the home’s integrity while meeting modern living standards.

Silver – Residential Addition Under $250,000

We transformed the mudroom into a seamless transition between the garage and kitchen, addressing key client concerns. To enhance functionality, we installed custom-built-ins for optimal storage and convenience. The space now boasts improved insulation, eliminating its previous chilliness. With a new arched opening and French doors, it now seamlessly connects to the rear deck and living spaces.

The design reflects the client’s preference for modern simplicity with pops of color, blending seamlessly with the transitional theme of the interior. Our meticulous installation of materials ensures both aesthetic appeal and durability, meeting the client’s vision for a harmonious home renovation.
