ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS:

“A fascinating aspect of 100 Chestnut is the Cape vernacular expressed in such a luxury application: a Cape of this caliber and magnitude is extremely unique and here it is very successful!   A primary feature is the single-story living–a Cape has this as a focus and it’s not easy to find in Weston.  This is perfect for those who prefer the cadence and ease of single-story living.

Royal Barry Wills was the preeminent architect behind one-story living—he wrote a book on such and was considered the top designer of his time for such single-story homes.  RBWA carries forward such a creative legacy today as shown here.

The architectural detailing transports you to another world: Wills was a master in the Colonial Revival style, and he played with features on a Cape that one would not typically see.  While a Cape is a modest American style with English design roots, RBWA used different flares–French inspired arched top dormers, lower-level Greek elongated windows, Italian moldings and a mix of stone, stucco and cedar clapboards for a more pronounced and refined impact.”

CLIENT WORDS:

“Allison is the best there is – we’ve worked with her on five transactions and she is always nothing short of impressive. Allison has represented us throughout the sale of two condos (one back bay, one beacon hill) and the purchase of two condos (both Beacon Hill). We initially encountered Allison as she represented a client whom we purchased a condo in the back bay from. Allison’s expertise in high-end Boston markets is beyond comforting. As a young family committed to never moving out of the city, she will always be our ‘go-to’ for both purchase and sale in beacon hill and back bay. Most recently, Allison assisted us in finding a dream space to accommodate our growing family and desire for square footage and we are happy to be transitioning into our first long-term home in the coming months. We are so beyond grateful for our relationship with Allison and feel confident that our real estate decisions have been that much better because of her influence!”
